A very simple and versatile type of liner with a wide opening allowing for unrestricted access to the container during loading and unloading with the use of forklifts.
Silverback supply full height woven polyethylene strong fabric, double layered liners as well as low-density polyethylene (LDPE) liners. LDPE is resistant to impact (doesn’t break easily), moisture (water proof) and chemicals (can stand up to many hazardous materials). For added protection when transporting animal hides with LDPE liners, approximately 60mm of sawdust is scattered across the floors after installing the liner. The sawdust soaks up the salty brine from the wet hides while in transit thus assisting in the curing the hides and also protects the container from rusting. LPDE liners are available in full height, three quarter height and have height sizes and are available for 20ft shipping containers.
There are many users of open top liners across sub industry segments. They are traditional hides
companies, shipping companies, container yards and abattoirs.
Animal hides are used to make sheep skin rugs, ugg boots etc.
Why use open top liners?
Open top liners are installed into containers to prevent contamination from leakage of corrosive and odorous liquids from the pallets of hides onto the floor and walls of containers.
These liners can be made in a variety of material thicknesses to suit any application.
