An Effective Solution for Sediment Control in Excavation Sites

Dewatering and Sediment Filter Bags are designed to contain sediments and heavy particles when silt-laden water is pumped from an excavation site. Using these bags is a simple and cost-effective way of controlling the amount of sediment or pollution leaving the area.

They are manufactured from a non-woven geotextile fabric that is needle punched to allow water to pass through whilst easily retaining stilt and other solids. There is a range of standard sizes to suit the requirements of particular projects, and custom sizes are available upon request.

These filter Bags most commonly feature a hose inlet (fill port) to insert a 100mm diameter hose. Once the hose is in place, clamp the fabric to the hose via wire, ties, clamps, ropes or similar on-hand materials.

Dewatering and Sediment Filter Bags are rugged but not indestructible. Be careful to properly monitor performance to ensure that pump rates or sediment concentrations are not excessive. Failure to do so may cause the filter bag to fail. Avoid multiple hose discharges into a single bag. One bag per discharge is recommended unless specifically designed for custom utilisation.

Dewatering and Sediment Filter Bags are designed for filtering and pumping Trenches, Construction Sites, Ponds, Lakes and Dewatering in Municipalities or Plants.
