Flood Pillows allow businesses and homeowners to be prepared and ready to respond quickly and easily in a flood emergency.
Flood preparation and flood response have traditionally revolved around using sandbags to protect properties from water damage. Sandbagging is an incredibly labour intensive process, and even sourcing and transporting the sand in a crisis to manually fill the bags is an arduous process.
Without the sand, the Flood Pillow performs like a sandbag or similar products. Made from a sturdy Geotextile fabric, the Flood Pillow contains a highly absorbent polymer that activates when exposed to freshwater. When fully activated, the Flood Pillows may be stacked as you would with sandbags to create a highly effective barrier to block or divert nuisance water.
Flood Pillows absorb moisture from roof leaks, leaking appliances such as washing means, freezers and dishwashers, and other circumstances where water is seeping or getting away. They are effortless to transport and store. Flood Pillows can be activated using the flood water (*not suitable for saltwater flooding), by hose or by soaking in a temporary bund, wading pool or even a bath. They are available in packs of 5, a carton of 50 or by the pallet.
