Silverback supplies Toxic Substance Storage Cabinets compliant with the Australian and New Zealand Standard AS/NZS 4452 “The Storage and Handling of Toxic Substances”.
These cabinets are designed to store toxic substances in sealed and closed containers safely. Good housekeeping practices are essential to ensure long service life.

- It is constructed of double-walled 1.2mm thick galvanised steel.
- Self-closing and self-latching doors with speed adjustable hydraulic closure and held shut automatically per AS1940-2017.
- 3 point self-latching door mechanism, with an internal door opening latch (as required by the Standards).
- Cabinet doors are fitted with an all stainless steel piano hinge for added protection.
- Overlapping door edging to prevent ingress of heat.
- 1.6mm thick, perforated, galvanised steel shelves.

AS/NZS 4452 specifies a maximum of 25kg or L for Packaging Group I and 50kg or L for Packaging Group II Toxic Substances.
For total external width measurement, add 6mm per vent bung for tight clearance locations.
Under AS1940-2017, you must provide an Eyewash Station within 10m of, but not nearer than 2m, of cabinets and where packages are opened. All Silverback supplied Eyewash facilities comply with ANSI Z358.1.
